About the Role
Develop detailed fire protection and fire sprinkler system drawings using AutoCAD. Prepare accurate design layouts, details, shop drawings and fabrication drawings in accordance with project requirements. Design and document fire protection systems in line with applicable NFPA standards, particularly NFPA 13. Review architectural, structural and MEP drawings to ensure effective multidisciplinary coordination. Coordinate fire protection layouts with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other engineering disciplines. Identify and resolve design conflicts and coordination issues during the engineering process. Produce high-quality drawings following established drafting standards for layering, dimensioning, annotation and detailing. Review project specifications, engineering documents and design requirements before developing drawings. Incorporate design revisions, engineering comments and project feedback into drawing packages. Maintain accuracy and consistency across drawings and project documentation. Work independently on assigned projects while coordinating effectively with internal and external engineering teams. Collaborate with U.S.-based project teams and participate in meetings or design discussions during overlapping working hours when required. Support project teams in resolving drawing, constructability and design-related issues.
